Community Relations Manager

About the role

The Community Relations Manager will lead and coordinate all community engagement, stakeholder management, and social impact initiatives for Tatu City Limited. This role also oversees the Tatu City Labour Desk and local workforce development programmes, ensuring harmonious coexistence between the company and surrounding communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement community engagement strategies aligned with the company’s vision.
• Build and maintain relationships with residents’ associations, local government, chiefs, youth groups, schools, and NGOs.
• Act as the primary liaison between Tatu City and surrounding communities, coordinating forums, barazas, and sensitisation meetings.
• Monitor community sentiment, manage complaints, and lead conflict‑resolution and mediation efforts.
• Oversee CSR initiatives, prepare regular reports on engagement activities, risks, and impact metrics.
• Provide strategic oversight of the Labour Desk, supervise its administrator, and ensure accurate record‑keeping of skilled and unskilled labourers.
• Conduct labour market analyses, coordinate the Training Academy, and track graduate placement outcomes.
• Ensure contractors comply with local hiring commitments and manage casual labour requirements across projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Human Resource Management, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, and labour coordination.
