Data Analyst – Agriculture

About the role

Syngenta Kenya is looking for a Data Analyst to support analytical needs across its agricultural production and research activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive decision‑making and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain proficiency in SQL, MS Excel, Smartsheet, data visualisation tools and data cleaning methodologies.
• Analyse business context, data flow throughout production processes and interactions with R&D departments.
• Provide ad‑hoc analytical support, delivering timely insights for decision‑making.
• Prepare, compile and present comprehensive update reports to management with clear recommendations.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, verification and documentation of data sources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Train and support end‑users on data tools, dashboards and analytical outputs.
• Comply with phytosanitary, hygiene, HSE policies and any additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 month of experience working with SQL, MS Excel and Smartsheet.
• Ability to work onsite in Westlands and adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols.
