DREF Delegate – Disaster Response Emergency Fund

About the role

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) seeks a Regional DREF Delegate to support Disaster Response Emergency Fund (DREF) operations in the Africa Region. The role contributes to timely, coordinated, and compliant funding processes that enable National Societies to respond effectively to large‑scale and small‑scale disasters.

Key responsibilities

• Support all DREF‑related processes in the Africa Region.
• Ensure timely, compliant, and well‑coordinated processing of DREF requests.
• Handle documentation and reporting of DREF operations.
• Provide expert technical and compliance analysis and guidance throughout the DREF cycle.

Required profile

• Familiarity with the Disaster Response Emergency Fund (DREF) procedures.
• Experience working in humanitarian or disaster‑response environments, preferably within the Africa Region.
• Strong understanding of compliance and reporting requirements for emergency funding.
