About the role
The Meru University of Science and Technology is seeking a Driver II to provide safe and reliable transportation services for the university community. Based in Nairobi, Westlands, the driver will operate university vehicles, ensuring punctual movement of staff and students while complying with all relevant Kenyan traffic regulations and university policies.
Key responsibilities
Required profile
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent qualification.
- Six (6) years of driving experience, or nine (9) years in the public or private sector.
- Passed Occupational Trade Test II for drivers.
- Valid driving licence for approved classes with PSV endorsement.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Certificate of Intensive Defensive Driving.
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Certificate (EVOC).
- EMT certificate (preferred).
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the Kenya Police.
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution.
