Driver & Office Assistant – Dadaab, Kenya

About the role

The Driver & Office Assistant provides safe transport for staff, visitors and cargo while supporting daily office operations in Dadaab, Garissa County. This dual role ensures vehicles are well‑maintained and the office runs efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of World University Service of Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Transport staff, visitors and goods using the most efficient routes while complying with traffic laws and organisational safety policies.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records and mileage reports; conduct daily inspections, keep vehicles clean, and coordinate servicing, repairs and insurance renewals.
• Assist with office logistics: collect quotes, purchase items, track inventory, handle filing, scanning, printing and mail/courier delivery.
• Support field schedules, airport transfers, loading/unloading of materials and maintain an orderly office environment.
• Adhere to health and safety, security and safeguarding procedures; report accidents, incidents or security concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence with an unblemished driving record.
• Defensive driving certification (highly advantageous).
• Completion of secondary education (high school).
