Electrical Engineer – Design, Installation & Maintenance

About the role

Brites Management Services Limited is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to lead the design, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical systems at its Westlands facilities. The role combines hands‑on technical work with project coordination to ensure safe, reliable and efficient power infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and supervise installation of electrical systems, equipment and wiring in accordance with standards and project specifications.
• Conduct testing, commissioning and performance verification of all electrical installations.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for motors, panels, generators, transformers and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, breakdowns and system failures promptly.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, EBK standards and quality assurance procedures.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 5 years of relevant experience (≈60 months).
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan electrical codes and occupational safety requirements.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
