Engineer - Managed Security Solutions

About the role

The Engineer – Managed Security Solutions is a technical subject‑matter expert who champions Safaricom’s Managed Security Solutions portfolio. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise IoT & Managed Security Deployment, the role is responsible for driving technical, operational, commercial and regulatory success of enterprise and government cybersecurity offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority for Managed Security Solutions across enterprise and government customers.
• Ensure end‑to‑end service delivery excellence, from design through implementation and ongoing support.
• Develop and maintain technical architecture that aligns with the organisation’s GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) framework.
• Coordinate with partner ecosystems to integrate complementary security technologies.
• Support revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the security domain.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet commercial and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise‑level cybersecurity solutions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance standards relevant to security services.
• Ability to work with both enterprise and government clients.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
