Field Engineer III – Electro‑Mechanical

About the role

The Field Engineer III will troubleshoot, test, assemble and inspect electro‑mechanical assemblies for a global energy‑technology leader. You will work on complex equipment, interpret test data and provide technical support to multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections, assembly, disassembly and rework of electro‑mechanical hardware.
• Execute advanced tests, analyze environmental test data and resolve equipment issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Coach junior technicians and share best practices.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience with electro‑mechanical systems (industrial, airline, military, oilfield, automotive, or electronics).
• Strong analytical ability to solve difficult technical problems.

Required skills

• Blueprint and wiring diagram interpretation
• Soldering and electro‑mechanical device assembly
• Operation of multimeters, megohmmeters and hi‑pot testers
• Use of measurement and gauging equipment
• Oscilloscope operation
• Fluid power technology knowledge
• AC/DC circuit understanding
• Advanced computer proficiency
