Field Service Engineer (Electronics & Mechatronics)

About the role

The company is expanding its medical aesthetics business across East Africa and seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair advanced aesthetic medical equipment. You will work on‑site at clinics and travel throughout Kenya and neighboring countries, providing technical support and training to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission aesthetic medical devices at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, and fault diagnosis.
• Repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical failures on‑site or remotely.
• Test, calibrate, and verify equipment performance after repairs.
• Maintain detailed service reports and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Provide basic operational training and technical support to end‑users.
• Travel extensively across Kenya and, when required, other East African nations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic, Biomedical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in equipment maintenance, field service, or industrial machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities for electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Valid Kenyan driving licence (or willingness to obtain one) and readiness to travel frequently.

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic tools such as multimeters and basic electronic test equipment.
• PCB diagnostics and soldering.
• Interpretation of electrical wiring diagrams.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
• Maintenance of medical equipment.
