Finance Intern – Accounts Payable Support

About the role
The Finance Intern will provide administrative and accounting support to the Finance & Strategy department, focusing primarily on the Accounts Payable function. This role offers practical exposure to payment processing, supplier documentation, and financial record‑keeping while contributing to month‑end activities.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and organize supplier invoices, matching them with purchase orders, contracts, and goods received notes before entering them into the accounting system.
- Prepare payment schedules, assist in reconciling supplier statements, and respond to routine supplier queries regarding payment status under supervision.
- Maintain an organized physical and electronic filing system for finance documents, ensuring all payment vouchers and supporting documents are complete before filing.
- Assist in preparing account reconciliations, support month‑end activities, maintain accurate supplier master records, and help compile documentation for internal and external audits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA Part I completed (CPA Part II is an advantage).
- High accuracy, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
