Finance Manager – Corporate Services

About the role

The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its Finance Department. Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services, the role focuses on ensuring sound financial governance, compliance, and strategic budgeting for the public broadcaster.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review finance policies, strategies, guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) 2012 and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
• Oversee internal financial controls, accounting systems, treasury and revenue management.
• Prepare and submit financial and management reports in line with established guidelines.
• Lead the preparation of the annual budget, Ministerial Public Expenditure Review (MPER) and Medium‑Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).
• Manage tax planning and administration in accordance with relevant laws.
• Maintain books of accounts, accountable documents and the fixed‑asset register.
• Coordinate external financial audits and ensure good governance, transparency and ethical standards.
• Develop and implement departmental strategic plans, performance contracts and staff appraisals.
• Manage and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• At least 15 years of cumulative work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management or comparable senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Statistics, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline.
