FutureKind Strategic Catalyst

About the role

The FutureKind Strategic Catalyst will work within Alight’s FutureKind platform to discover, shape, and mobilise ideas that define the future of displacement. Reporting to the Director of FutureKind Strategy and based in Nairobi, the role involves frequent travel to Uganda and Rwanda and requires a legal right to work in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Identify emerging needs and generate new ideas through engagement with displaced people, host communities, governments and partners.
• Facilitate co‑creation workshops and listen deeply to stakeholders to uncover opportunities.
• Help shape narratives and thought‑leadership content that communicates FutureKind initiatives.
• Mobilise ideas into compelling projects that attract partners, funding and momentum.
• Develop and nurture partnerships across NGOs, philanthropists, governments and creative partners.
• Collaborate closely with the FutureKind strategy team and the Marketing & Engagement fundraising team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic development, partnership building or fundraising within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills and ability to work with diverse cultural groups.
• Willingness to travel frequently across East Africa.
• Legal right and existing authorization to work in Kenya.
