About the role
Amentum is seeking a Galley Supervisor to lead food service operations for a U.S. Navy program located on Diego Garcia. The role involves overseeing all aspects of dining facility (DFAC) activities, ensuring compliance with military food safety standards, and managing a team of food service personnel.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily DFAC operations, including scheduling, work supervision, and quality control.
- Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with AR 40-25 Nutrition Standards, AR 600-60 Army Health Promotion, and related regulations.
- Implement and maintain a Food Safety and Inspection Program following AR 40-656, AR 40-657, AR 40-660, and DoD Hazardous Food guidelines.
- Oversee cleaning of cooking areas in line with MIL‑STB‑3006C.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and quality assurance for all DFAC staff.
- Prepare reports and fulfill any additional duties assigned by program leadership.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory food‑service role, preferably within the Navy.
- Ability to work in an office environment, answer phones, and use standard office equipment.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Valid passport with at least one year remaining validity at hire and ability to travel internationally.
- Pass contract medical requirements and maintain required facility credentials for the duration of deployment.
