Graduate Assistant – Computing & Informatics

About the role

The Technical University of Mombasa is seeking a motivated Graduate Assistant to support its Computing & Informatics department. This one‑year fixed‑term position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior academic staff while pursuing a Master’s degree.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior academic staff with teaching, research, and administrative tasks as assigned by the Centre of Development (COD).
• Support preparation of course materials, labs, and assessments.
• Participate in departmental projects and contribute to academic activities.
• Undertake any additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Upper Second Class Honours BSc in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university.
• Registered or registerable with the relevant professional body, if applicable.
• Kenyan citizen, aged under 30.
• Willingness to enrol in a relevant Master’s programme and to renew the contract for up to three years.
