Hardware Sales Assistant

About the role

Rope Engineering Ltd is seeking a motivated Hardware Sales Assistant to join its sales team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will be the first point of contact for customers interested in our construction hardware products, helping them find the right solutions while representing the company’s standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with walk‑in and phone customers, understand their hardware needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and stay informed about new hardware releases.
• Process sales transactions, prepare quotations and follow up on orders.
• Assist the sales team with inventory checks, stock replenishment and visual merchandising.
• Record customer interactions in the CRM system and ensure accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Ambitious and self‑driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
• Minimum two years of experience in a sales or customer‑facing role.
• Mid‑level qualification or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy (ability to use office software and CRM tools).
