Head of Liabilities

About the role

The Head of Liabilities will lead the Retail and Business Banking (RBB) liabilities and lending portfolio, driving a sustainable business model aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. This senior position is responsible for full P&L ownership, product development, and ensuring competitive offerings that meet income targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Liabilities and Lending teams, fostering a high‑performance culture and supporting talent development.
• Own the P&L for liabilities and lending revenue, ensuring targets are met and profitability is maximized.
• Develop and execute pricing strategies for RBB products, staying ahead of industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Lead product innovation, recommending new products or enhancements to the existing suite.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as Marketing, Technology, Operations, and Communications to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance.
• Maintain robust control frameworks, adhering to bank policies, regulations, and service standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in banking, preferably within liabilities or lending functions.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to drive transformation, innovation, and a culture of continuous improvement.
