About the role
The Health & Safety Manager will lead occupational health and safety initiatives across our warehouse and factory operations. You will ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices while fostering a culture of safety.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all health and safety activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety management systems, procedures, and risk control measures.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Design and deliver safety training programs, emergency drills, and awareness campaigns.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near‑misses, and occupational illnesses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain full compliance with local occupational health and safety legislation and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulators, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor safety performance indicators, analyze trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly, and annual safety reports.
- Manage emergency response programs, fire safety systems, evacuation procedures, and business continuity plans.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the safety team.
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, and HR to integrate safety into operational planning.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least four (4) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of local occupational health and safety laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to develop safety management systems, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
