HR Assistant

About the role

The HR Assistant will support the HR Manager in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, handling recruitment, employee queries, and administrative tasks. This position offers exposure to the full HR lifecycle within an Export Processing Zone setting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries.
• Support employee relations and grievance resolution.
• Assist with performance management and training coordination.
• Administer benefits and provide payroll inputs.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, Kenyan labour laws, union regulations, and EPZ requirements.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain HRIS data.

Required profile

• Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
• Valid IHRM Certificate (mandatory).
• 2‑3 years of HR administrative experience, preferably with high‑traffic, semi‑informal field workers.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, union matters, and EPZ regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
