HR Clerk

About the role

The HR Clerk will provide essential administrative support to the Human Resources team, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations. This position is based in Westlands and involves handling employee records, payroll data, and recruitment logistics in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
• Process HR documentation such as contracts, leave letters, and other correspondence.
• Support recruitment logistics, including scheduling interviews and filing candidate information.
• Monitor attendance, process leave applications, and compile timesheets and overtime data for payroll.
• Ensure audit‑ready filing and compliance with Kenyan labour and union regulations.
• Handle general HR inquiries and correspondence.

Required profile

• Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
• Valid IHRM Certificate (mandatory).
• 1–2 years of HR administrative experience; experience with high‑traffic, semi‑informal field workers is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Kenyan union and labour laws.
• Strong organizational abilities and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced EPZ environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
