Human Resources Payroll Officer

About the role

Liquid Intelligent Technologies Kenya is seeking a CPA‑certified professional to lead payroll and HR budgeting functions. The role balances payroll administration (70%) with core HR support such as recruitment, onboarding and performance management (30%).

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and process employee data (attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions) for the Kenya market.
• Calculate gross and net salaries, statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF) and company contributions.
• Prepare payroll journals, reconcile with finance systems and ensure timely salary disbursement.
• Maintain accurate payroll records for internal and external audits.
• Manage HR budgeting, staff costing, job grading, compensation and benefits programmes.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management activities.

Required profile

• CPA certification with advanced financial and analytical capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in payroll administration and HR compensation & benefits.
• Ability to work collaboratively across finance and HR functions.
