ICT Cloud Officer

About the role

The ICT Cloud Officer will lead the design, deployment and ongoing management of Médecins Sans Frontières' hybrid cloud environment. This role ensures that cloud services are secure, reliable and aligned with the organisation's humanitarian mission.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and security standards.
• Manage Microsoft cloud services including Azure, Exchange Online/M365, and Windows Server components.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures and configuration standards for cloud systems and networks.
• Implement robust backup, disaster‑recovery and system‑hardening practices.
• Collaborate with ICT leadership on long‑term networking strategy and cloud migration roadmap.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Docker.
• Implement proactive monitoring, alerting and incident management to minimise service impact.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments against MSF ICT policies, CIS and NIST frameworks.
• Optimize resource usage using Azure Advisor recommendations and ensure efficient sizing of VMs.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network and ICT cloud infrastructure roles.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (Administrator Associate, Network Engineer Associate, Solutions Architect Expert).
• Fluent English communication skills.
