Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud and on‑premises systems for a global technology leader. The contractor will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement reliability improvements.
• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and compliance standards.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to increase efficiency.
• Partner with development teams to optimize cost, performance, and scalability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and core services.
• Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code and automation.
• Solid scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
