Intermediate Accountant (Australia) – Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Intermediate Accountant to support our Australian clients from our Philippines hub. The role blends independent bookkeeping with direct client communication, offering a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping for Australian clients.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Handle Xero conversion balances and data migration activities.
• Attach and manage supporting receipts for reconciliations.
• Communicate with clients via email and calls to resolve accounting queries.
• Support BAS preparation and review where required.
• Collaborate with internal team members to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Identify process improvements and resolve issues independently.
• Provide light administrative support as needed.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of Australian accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Client‑facing experience through calls and email.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Xero (minimal training required).
• Experience performing reconciliations.
• Knowledge of Australian financial statements and reporting.
