IT Operations Manager

About the role

The IT Operations Manager will lead the organization’s technology infrastructure and service delivery, ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency. This senior position reports to senior management and drives continuous improvement across all IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an IT Operations strategy aligned with business goals, using ITIL and industry best practices.
• Lead infrastructure and support teams, fostering accountability, resilience, and service excellence.
• Oversee networks, databases, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, and end‑user computing environments.
• Manage incident, problem, change, and request processes to meet SLAs and KPIs.
• Ensure proactive monitoring, capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with IT Security to maintain compliance, audit readiness, and risk management.
• Design, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships to align services with business needs.
• Prepare performance and risk reports for senior leadership and drive automation and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Develop high‑performing teams through performance management and skills development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8–12 years of IT Operations experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale infrastructure and support environments.
• Membership in a recognized professional body (mandatory).
