Junior Greenhouse Supervisor

About the role

Florensis Kenya is looking for a proactive Junior Greenhouse Supervisor to assist the Production Supervisor in managing greenhouse operations and delivering high‑quality cuttings. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving horticultural environment and a clear path for developing leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Produce quality cuttings according to production plans.
• Support the full crop cycle: greenhouse preparation, planting, maintenance, harvesting, discarding, and post‑season cleaning.
• Coordinate timely greenhouse preparation and mother‑stock planting in partnership with the Production Supervisor.
• Work closely with Agronomy to maintain healthy mother stock and optimise crop productivity.
• Prepare weekly labour and harvest schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
• Participate in quality meetings with supervisors, group leaders, and the Quality Department.
• Coach, train and guide Production Group Leaders and general workers.
• Delegate tasks effectively and follow up on assignments.
• Assist in implementing the Green Trust sustainability initiative.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in cuttings production with some team‑lead or coordination responsibilities.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication, reliability and a hands‑on approach to greenhouse work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard computer applications.
