Laundry Attendant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team in Nairobi. The role involves handling all stages of laundry processing in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Operate washing, drying, ironing and folding machines.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished laundry for quality and compliance with standards.
• Provide courteous service to internal customers and communicate effectively with housekeeping and front‑office teams.
• Manage inventory of linens, detergents and related supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Keep accurate records of processed items and stock levels.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Communication, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of fabric care and laundry chemicals.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Willingness to work in Nairobi.
• Additional advantage: certificate or diploma in Housekeeping/Laundry Operations.
• Previous experience in a laundry, hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
