Lead Risk Manager – AI

About the role

The Lead Risk Manager – AI will support and strengthen the bank’s control environment for AI‑amplified risks across multiple risk domains. Based in Malaysia or India, the role works within the Technology and Operations division and partners with first‑line owners, central AI governance teams, and risk stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support AI‑amplified risk discovery, baseline assessment, control gap analysis and uplift tracking.
• Document AI‑related risk impacts, controls, actions, issues, dependencies and evidence for domain teams.
• Maintain accurate trackers, logs, repositories and management information packs.
• Prepare governance materials, committee reports and progress updates.
• Assist with RCSA, control testing, assurance, audit, regulatory and RFI activities related to AI risks.
• Help embed AI risk considerations into existing risk management processes and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of risk management principles and AI‑related regulatory expectations.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional workstreams and maintaining detailed risk documentation.
• Ability to translate AI control requirements into practical operating processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
