Lead Software Engineer – Mobile Development (Crypto Wallets)

About the role

This position leads the mobile engineering effort for a crypto wallet product used globally. You will head a small team of React Native developers while actively contributing code, shaping architecture, and ensuring security and performance standards for both iOS and Android platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance cross‑platform mobile applications with React Native.
• Provide technical leadership, set architectural direction, enforce coding standards, and mentor engineers.
• Define and maintain mobile foundations such as state management, navigation, modularization, performance optimisation, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs, SDKs, WebSockets and blockchain services, and contribute to backend components when needed.
• Conduct code reviews, guide best practices, and ensure delivery of high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Translate product and design requirements into robust technical solutions and seamless user experiences.
• Evaluate and adopt modern mobile tools, frameworks, and development patterns to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mobile development, particularly with React Native.
• Proven track record of leading or mentoring mobile engineering teams and owning large‑scale mobile architecture.
• Strong understanding of mobile CI/CD pipelines, native build processes, and front‑end tooling.
• Experience integrating native modules and working with iOS (Swift/Objective‑C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) for low‑level functionality.
• Hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and distributed backend integration.
