Machine Operator – Manufacturing Production

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Nairobi. You will be responsible for running factory equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and adjust machines before each production run according to SOPs.
• Operate assigned machinery, monitor performance, and record production data.
• Perform routine checks, basic maintenance, and assist with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to minimise downtime and report major faults to the maintenance team.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and adhere to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep accurate logs and reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Technical training from NYS (National Youth Service) or NITA (National Industrial Training Authority) is a plus.
• 2–3 years of experience operating factory machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of machine operation and basic mechanical maintenance.
