About the role
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a work‑from‑home Marketing Intern for its Global Funds Mitigation and Transparency Section within the Climate Change Division. The intern will assist the team in creating and executing marketing strategies that increase the visibility and uptake of UNEP products and initiatives across partner countries.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Create marketing materials such as presentations, social media content, flyers, infographics, and other creative assets.
- Manage social media activities, including content development, audience engagement, and social listening.
- Research target audiences, market trends, and stakeholder needs to inform strategies.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, engaging marketing messages.
- Assist in promoting products and initiatives to governments and public‑sector stakeholders.
- Help plan and deliver marketing activities for workshops, conferences, launches, and events.
- Use creative tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, CorelDRAW) to develop marketing assets.
- Prepare marketing briefs, presentations, campaign reports, and other knowledge products.
- Monitor campaign performance and support analysis of audience engagement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Digital or Social Media, Economics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Sales or Marketing.
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical content.
- Interest in environmental issues and international development.
