Mason – On‑site Construction Specialist

About the role

Haya Structures is seeking a skilled Mason to join its on‑site team in Machakos. This full‑time position involves performing a range of masonry tasks on new builds and renovation projects, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and mix cement, mortar, and other binding materials according to project specifications.
• Lay bricks, blocks, and stones to construct or repair walls, floors, pavements, and decorative elements.
• Read and interpret basic construction drawings, measurements, and plans.
• Cut, shape, and position stones for structural and aesthetic purposes.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate work activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each phase of construction.

Required profile

• Proven practical experience in general masonry, including structural and finishing work.
• Physical ability to perform manual labour, lift heavy materials, and work on feet for extended periods.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the capacity to work effectively within a diverse site team.
• Vocational training or certification in masonry is an advantage.
