Material Controller – Contract & Supplier Performance

About the role

Kenya Airways is seeking a Material Controller to oversee contract and supplier performance for aviation parts and materials. The role ensures that material costs are controlled and that supplies align with maintenance schedules and budgetary constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Drive contract negotiations by analysing material data and requirements.
• Operationalise existing contracts and agreements.
• Monitor and control contract performance, including CSP, PBH, GTA and ad‑hoc arrangements.
• Generate regular management reports on material costs and contract performance.
• Review and manage overall materials cost to support maintenance activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, material cost control or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft components, maintenance documentation (IPC, RSPL, AMM, SBs) and airworthiness certification (EASA, FAA, KCAA).
• Familiarity with lean techniques and IATA resolutions.
