Microelectronics Engineer – Smart Metering Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Microelectronics/Communication Engineer to join our smart metering team in Nairobi. The role involves supporting the assembly, testing, deployment and maintenance of smart electricity meters, as well as providing pre‑sales and after‑sales technical assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales during customer engagements, demonstrations and tender processes.
• Prepare technical proposals, product specifications and compliance documentation.
• Assemble smart meter components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Plan, coordinate and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and produce related reports.
• Deliver installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance support for deployed meters.
• Conduct product presentations and technical training for customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Microelectronics, Communication Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 24 months of relevant experience (mid‑level).
• Ability to work on‑site in Nairobi and collaborate with engineering and sales teams.
