Mid-Level Backend Engineer (AWS, Python & Node.js)

About the role

Zeno is building the backend platform for an EV battery‑swapping ecosystem, covering vehicle telemetry, swap‑station orchestration, wallet & payment transactions, and fleet partner management. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining microservices that run on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend microservices (Vehicle Service, Swap Station Service, Transaction Management Service, Wallet Management Service) using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and Node.js (Express).
• Build and expose RESTful APIs consumed by mobile and web clients.
• Work with PostgreSQL/RDS for core domain data and ClickHouse for high‑volume telemetry.
• Implement asynchronous, event‑driven workflows and ensure idempotent transaction processing.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot services on AWS (ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS).
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and support CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience, preferably in a microservices environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Node.js, with experience building RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (ECS, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch).
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and familiarity with ClickHouse or similar columnar stores.
