Middle/Senior AI Developer – AI Sales Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Middle/Senior AI Developer to join a fast‑moving team building an AI Sales Assistant used by around 2,000 monthly active users. The role offers end‑to‑end ownership from design through production optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and enhance Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and multi‑agent AI systems.
• Develop and maintain production‑grade services using TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, Python and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate AI solutions with internal APIs, Azure services and Databricks.
• Implement LLM evaluation, tracing, observability and quality monitoring.
• Optimise retrieval quality, prompt strategies, model performance, latency and reliability.
• Own features from design through testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with the DS/AI Manager on architecture and roadmap decisions.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve AI/backend systems in production.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying RAG pipelines (embeddings, vector search, retrieval tuning).
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL expertise.
• Proven track record shipping and maintaining production AI/backend systems.
• Ability to work independently from technical specifications and take ownership of deliverables.
• Good English communication skills.
• Portfolio, GitHub or live demo demonstrating relevant AI/engineering work.
