Midtail Associate (Full Time)

About the role

Jumia is a leading pan‑African e‑commerce platform seeking a Midtail Associate to manage relationships with top‑tier brands and distributors in Kenya. The role reports to the Country Managing Director and CCO and acts as a key external representative for the assigned category.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with C‑level executives and account managers of top brands and distributors.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth and maximise revenue across the portfolio.
• Lead acquisition of high‑potential brands and large distributors to enrich Jumia’s assortment.
• Promote and sell Jumia’s advertising and visibility services to partners.
• Collaborate with marketing and commercial planning teams to design tailored promotional campaigns.
• Analyse sales performance and market data to identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor and report on key account metrics such as sales, inventory, campaign performance and customer satisfaction.
• Negotiate win‑win agreements and long‑term partnerships ensuring mutual profitability.
• Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity and evolving customer preferences.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams (merchandising, operations, logistics, etc.) to ensure flawless execution.
