About the role
The Yukon‑Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking an Office Assistant to provide essential secretarial support across multiple rural locations in Alaska. This role involves handling routine administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a tribal health care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform typing, shorthand, filing, and copy‑making duties.
- Answer multi‑line telephones, direct calls, and manage correspondence.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines and computers.
- Maintain organized records and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Support staff by preparing documents and managing office supplies.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and ability to work independently.
- Ability to remain calm, tactful, and diplomatic in diverse situations.
- Capacity to establish effective working relationships with varied personalities.
Required skills
- Computer skills.
- Office equipment operation (multi‑line phones, fax, copier).
