OMS & Process Improvement Specialist

About the role

The OMS & Process Improvement Specialist will lead the implementation and maintenance of Bayer's One Management System (OMS) across Kenya and Ethiopia. Reporting to the RC East Africa Production Lead, the role coordinates site‑level process improvement initiatives and ensures alignment with Bayer IMS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Map, document and continuously update all site processes to reflect actual operations.
• Coordinate the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with Bayer standards.
• Facilitate investigations of quality and process deviations, drive root‑cause analysis, and manage corrective‑and‑preventive actions (CAPA).
• Oversee change management, including the Management of Change (MOC) system.
• Conduct risk analysis and mitigation using tools such as the Intelex platform.
• Track IMS performance metrics (CAPA closure, audit findings, document validity) and report in regular reviews.
• Deliver IMS awareness and compliance training to cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Lead end‑to‑end process mapping, waste reduction, and standardisation projects using Lean, Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing integrated quality or management systems in a manufacturing or agricultural setting.
• Strong background in process improvement, audit coordination and change management.
• Ability to work across functions and regions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to problem solving.
