Operations Manager – Microfinance

About the role

The Operations Manager – Microfinance will lead the delivery of micro‑finance services across field offices in Nairobi. This senior position requires a strong understanding of secured lending, especially logbook financing, and the ability to drive performance‑focused results.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise field offices, ensuring efficient day‑to‑day operations.
• Lead field‑based teams, fostering a performance‑driven culture.
• Oversee secured lending facilities, with particular focus on logbook financing products.
• Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and solve business challenges.
• Maintain high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of senior‑level management experience in the microfinance sector.
• Proven track record of managing field offices and leading field‑based teams.
• Experience with secured lending facilities, especially logbook financing.
• Strong analytical, business insight and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and ethical conduct.
