Operations Team Member - Java Express Machakos Junction

About the role

The Operations Team Member will work on the Java Express outlet at Machakos Junction, delivering fast, friendly service in a busy café environment. You will be responsible for ensuring food quality, timely service, and a clean dining area while supporting the team during peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately.
• Maintain food presentation, temperature, and quality according to restaurant standards.
• Communicate order status and guest needs between kitchen and service staff.
• Keep waiter stations, tables, and the restaurant clean and organized.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Assist with restocking condiments, opening and closing duties, and waste management.
• Suggest menu items and upsell based on customer preferences.
• Support wait staff during busy shifts to reduce wait times.

Required profile

• Good planner with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills.
• Flexible, reliable team player who is self‑driven and result‑oriented.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a certified Java House staff member.
• KCSE certificate with a mean grade of C or higher.
• Genuine interest in the hospitality industry.
