Outbound Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Outbound Sales Representative to join our fintech team in Westlands, Kenya. The role focuses on high‑volume outbound calling to promote our free credit assessment, drive app downloads and guide prospects through the onboarding process.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily high‑volume cold and warm calls using bilingual English‑Swahili scripts to promote the free credit assessment and encourage app downloads.
• Within five minutes of each call, send official download links and compliance disclosures via WhatsApp Business or SMS, selecting the appropriate channel based on customer tags.
• Handle objections professionally, clearly communicating interest rates, data privacy, and that approvals are subject to system assessment; inform about late‑payment reporting to the Credit Reference Bureau.
• Maintain data hygiene by tagging invalid numbers, Do‑Not‑Call entries, and providing daily feedback on pricing and app UX in the CRM.
• Follow quality‑assurance protocols, ensure call recordings, and correct any non‑compliant behavior promptly.

Required profile

• Fluent English with clear business communication and strong pronunciation.
• Highly proficient Swahili, able to converse daily and explain basic financial concepts; oral Swahili assessment required.
• Minimum 1 year of outbound sales or call‑center experience; fintech, micro‑lending or cross‑border e‑commerce background preferred.
• Good understanding of Kenyan culture, M‑Pesa ecosystem and digital lending products (e.g., M‑Shwari, Fuliza, Tala, Branch).
• Resilient attitude to thrive in a high‑rejection environment, with strict compliance awareness and execution discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using WhatsApp Business API.
