Pest Controller for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a qualified Pest Controller to support a critical US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves performing routine pest control operations in unoccupied government spaces while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine pest control tasks during regular government working hours, excluding federal holidays.
• Apply pesticides using preventative, chemical, and non‑chemical methods to meet project and site‑specific requirements.
• Handle, store, and dispose of pesticides, rinse water, and containers in compliance with label directions and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of pesticide usage, storage, and disposal.
• Inspect work areas for pest‑related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Follow all safety and environmental protocols to prevent contamination and exposure risks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in pest control operations, including safe pesticide handling.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pesticide safety guidelines and waste disposal techniques.
• Ability to work independently and schedule tasks within specified hours.
• Capability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout deployment.
