Plant Operator

About the role

Wärtsilä Energy is seeking a Plant Operator to join its team and support the operation of renewable‑focused power generation assets. The successful candidate will work on‑site during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the plant according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain power output at the level designated by management and follow dispatch directives.
• Assist with start‑up, shut‑down, and normal operation of power plant systems.
• Complete and maintain clear logs and running records.
• Take corrective action during disturbances and report them to the Shift Supervisor.
• Communicate plant condition and performance to shift charge and fellow personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and perform emergency procedures when needed.
• Perform planned and corrective maintenance, accounting for parts, supplies, and fluids used.

Required profile

• BSc or equivalent degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering or technology.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in power plant operations.
• Hands‑on experience with power plant engines.
