Plumber

About the role

AccorHotel is seeking a skilled Plumber to maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems across its commercial facilities in Nairobi. You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient operation of all water, heating, and sanitation infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive plumbing work, including troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of domestic water, heating, chilled water, storm and sanitary systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues, delivering temporary and permanent solutions with minimal disruption.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain kitchen plumbing, pool and spa systems, and support renovation and capital projects.
• Document all work in the maintenance management system, monitor inventory, and ensure organized storage of tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan building codes, WHMIS, OHSA, and all safety policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial, hospitality, or large‑scale facility environment.
• Valid plumber licence or certification recognised in Kenya.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and OSH safe‑work practices.
• Familiarity with maintenance management and work‑order tracking software.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration, pool and spa system maintenance, and Nairobi building regulations.
• First‑aid or emergency‑response certification and experience mentoring junior staff.
