Procurement Officer

About the role

Wavetech Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for its ICT, networking and telecommunications projects in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new suppliers, maintain strong relationships, and negotiate favourable terms.
• Prepare and issue quotations, purchase orders and related procurement documentation.
• Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular assessments.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports and analytical data.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing activities with project timelines and budgets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years proven experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and operate in a fast‑paced environment.
• Based in Nairobi or immediate surroundings and available for an in‑person interview.
