Programme Coordinator – Migration Management

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Coordinator to lead its Migration Management portfolio in Kenya. Reporting to the Head of Programme and Policy Development and working closely with the Chief of Mission, this role ensures the effective implementation of programmes covering labour mobility, immigration and border governance, and migrant protection.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of IOM Kenya’s Migration Management programmes.
• Collaborate with Programme Managers, Heads of Sub‑Offices, and the Regional Thematic Specialist to align activities with strategic objectives.
• Monitor programme performance, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with IOM policies and donor requirements.
• Facilitate partnerships with government, inter‑governmental and non‑governmental stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance on migration issues, including labour mobility and border governance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Migration Studies or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in migration management, programme coordination or a similar humanitarian context.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
