Project Manager – Factory Construction & Development

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the construction and development of a new factory in Westlands, Nairobi. You will be responsible for ensuring the project stays on schedule, meets GMP and ISO standards, and delivers a fully operational facility.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction progress and keep the project on schedule.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, industry standards, GMP and ISO requirements.
• Work with technology partners and equipment suppliers to meet production and utility needs.
• Oversee design, installation, testing, commissioning and validation of air‑handling systems and other critical utilities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare daily progress reports for management and track milestones, timelines and critical path activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of project or construction management experience.
• Experience with factory, industrial, pharmaceutical or other regulated construction projects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of GMP, ISO standards, construction specifications and quality control.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple contractors, consultants and technical teams.
• Strong communication, reporting and problem‑solving skills.
