Project Manager – HV/EHV Substations (KSA)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high‑voltage direct current (HVDC) substation projects in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, international standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project strategies, schedules, and budgets for HVDC projects.
• Manage planning, engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, testing, and commissioning of converter stations, substations, control & protection systems, and transmission lines.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Serve as primary interface with client SEC, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and OEMs.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical submittals, and method statements.
• Control project budget, cash flow, and resource allocation; handle claims, variations, and invoicing.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Power Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 12–18 years of experience in power transmission projects, including 5–8 years on HVDC projects.
• Proven track record managing large EPC contracts in the energy sector.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, CIGRÉ, and SEC standards.
• Strong project management, contractual, leadership, and English communication skills.
