Quantity Surveyor – Estimation & Costing

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quantity Surveyor to join Kitchens and Beyond Ltd’s fast‑growing team. The role bridges design, sales, projects and procurement, turning 3‑D renders and technical drawings into accurate material take‑offs, cost estimates and client quotations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret 3D renders, interior joinery details, architectural plans and MEP schematics to produce complete material schedules and quantities.
• Generate precise, fully itemised cost estimates and quotations within tight deadlines to support sales conversion and project execution.
• Draft, audit and finalise Bills of Quantities (BOQs) ensuring full scope coverage with no missing hardware, finishes or specifications.
• Verify supplier, vendor and subcontractor quotes against design drawings and procurement schedules, resolving scope discrepancies before contract sign‑off.
• Identify design‑to‑cost issues early and propose cost‑effective alternatives without compromising design quality.
• Conduct site visits at key milestones to audit delivered and installed materials against approved BOQs.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Sales, Projects and Procurement teams and external suppliers to clarify requirements and resolve technical or pricing queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation, preferably in interior fit‑out, luxury joinery or construction.
• At least 2 years’ experience interpreting 3D renders, architectural plans, joinery details and MEP drawings.
• Proven track record of delivering accurate quotations and cost estimates within tight timeframes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience with estimation software such as CostX, PlanSwift or WinQS.
