Regional Advisor – Kenya for University Recruitment

About the role

The Regional Advisor will support Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) in expanding its presence across Kenya and East Africa. Reporting to the International Recruitment Manager and ultimately to the Head of Global Collaborations, you will drive student recruitment, manage stakeholder relationships, and identify partnership opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute market‑specific recruitment strategies to meet regional enrolment targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, agents, and other education partners.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, Compliance, and Academic teams to ensure responsible recruitment practices.
• Represent BNU at education fairs, workshops, and university events across Kenya and neighbouring markets.
• Provide regular reports on recruitment performance, market trends, and partnership opportunities.
• Travel within Kenya and occasionally to the UK for meetings and training.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in international student recruitment or higher‑education market development.
• Degree‑level education or equivalent, preferably obtained in the UK or Ireland.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet ambitious enrolment targets.

Required skills

• Experience in higher‑education recruitment and market entry.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in international education.
• Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
